PU materials vs PVC materials
PU materials PVC materials
The main differences between PVC and PU are as follows: 1. The temperature resistance is different. The maximum temperature resistance of PVC is 65℃, and the maximum temperature resistance of PU can reach 90℃.
2. The wear resistance is different, the PU material is more wear-resistant, and the life of PVC is very short.
3. The softness of PU, PVC will be relatively hard, unless the plasticizer in PVC is added a lot. Plasticizer is an additive that softens PVC, but the food standard has strict requirements on the content of plasticizer, so soft PVC and plasticizer are actually far from meeting environmental requirements.
4. In terms of price, the price of PU leather is more than double that of PVC leather, and the price of PU leather with certain special requirements is 2-3 times higher than that of PVC leather. Generally, the pattern paper required for PU leather can only be scrapped after 4-5 times; the use period of the pattern roller is long, so the cost of PU leather is higher than that of PVC leather.
Tip:1. PU leather is the skin of polyurethane. It is now widely used in the decoration of luggage, clothing, shoes, vehicles and furniture. It has been increasingly recognized by the market.
The wide range of applications, the large number, and the many varieties are beyond the reach of traditional natural leather. The quality of PU leather is also good or bad. A good PU leather is even more expensive than leather, with a good stereotype effect and a bright surface!
2. PVC is a white powder with an amorphous structure, a small degree of branching, and poor stability to light and heat. Different additives can be added according to different uses, and PVC plastics can exhibit different physical and mechanical properties. Adding an appropriate amount of plasticizer to PVC resin can make a variety of hard, soft and transparent products.
