PART 2:How to maintain the screw extruder?
Regularly check the screws and other fasteners on the surface of the unit for looseness and proper tightening in time. The lubricating oil level of the transmission box should be added or replaced in time (the dirt on the bottom of the oil tank should be cleaned regularly). For new machines, the oil should be changed every 3 months, and then every six months to a year. The oil filter and suction pipe should be cleaned regularly (once a month).
The maintenance of the gearbox of the extruder is the same as that of the general standard gearbox. It is mainly to check the wear and failure of gears and bearings.
When reinstalling, please note that the two screws A and B must be in their original positions and cannot be replaced! After the newly assembled screw is installed on the machine, it must first be turned by hand. If it rotates normally, it can be turned on at a low speed. When the screw or barrel is not used for a long time, anti-rust and anti-fouling measures should be taken, and the screw should be placed in suspension. If the thread block is burned with fire, the flame should move left and right, and clean while burning. Do not burn too much (red or blue), nor put the threaded block in water.
Regularly calibrate the temperature control instrument to check the correctness of the adjustment and the sensitivity of the control.
Distilled water must be used in the cooling water tank in the barrel to prevent scale formation from blocking the cooling water channel in the barrel and causing temperature failure. Pay attention to adding water appropriately during use to prevent scaling. If it is clogged, the cylinder body should be replaced for specific maintenance. If there is no clogging and the water output is small, it indicates that there is scale. The tank water should be replaced with dilute hydrochloric acid and circulated. The water in the general water tank is used to cool the barrel, and the natural water we use is used to cool the water tank. Check the water quality of the cooling water tank regularly, and if there is turbidity, it should be replaced in time.
Check whether the solenoid valve is working properly and whether the coil is burned out, and replace it in time.
The possible reasons for the temperature not rising or the temperature continuing to rise and fall: whether the daily coupler is loose; whether the heating zone relay is working properly; whether the solenoid valve is working properly, replace the deformed heater in time, and tighten the screws.
Clean the dirt in the vacuum tank in time and the materials in the exhaust chamber to make the pipeline smooth. If the sealing ring of the vacuum pump is worn, it needs to be replaced and checked regularly. The beating of the output shaft must be damaged and the shaft must be broken. It must be unpacked and replaced. If the bearing position of the two output shafts of the gear box is too worn, the box must be replaced to avoid a larger Failure loss.
For the DC motor that drives the screw to rotate, it is important to check the brush wear and contact. The insulation resistance of the motor should also be measured frequently. In addition, check whether the connecting wires and other components are rusty, and adopt protective measures.
When the extruder needs to be stopped for a long time, anti-rust grease should be coated on the working surface of the screw, machine, and head. The small screw should be hung in the air or placed in a special wooden box, and be leveled with wooden blocks to prevent the screw from deforming or bruising.
The inner wall of the cooling water pipe attached to the extruder is liable to scale and the exterior is easy to corrode and rust. Careful inspection should be done during maintenance. Too much scale will block the pipeline, and the cooling effect will not be achieved, and serious corrosion will leak. Therefore, descaling and anti-corrosion and cooling measures must be taken during maintenance.
